VRMA Club Practices:


Club practices will be held each Saturday morning and Wednesday evening throughout the season, *weather permitting. Changes to practices and schedules will be announced via Facebook and e-mail notifications.

New Members are entitled to participate in Basic Archery Skills Clinics throughout the season by appointment.

Archery Horse Basic Skill Assessments are mandatory for every horse prior to their first Arrowhead Acres practice of the season and can be scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, or Wednesdays with the Horse Master or Range Master, contact us through our contact page of this website.

Regular Practices will be divided into two groups according to the skills the horse and archer are working on as defined in the member manual; Beginner/Intermediate group and Intermediate/Advanced group. Beginner practices are assisted and supervised by advanced archers. Beginner/Intermediate practices will precede and end before Intermediate Advanced. Times will be published.

  • April 14-15: Mounted Archery Beginner Clinic ($150.00 USD)
    • ​Day One: Ground Archery - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
    • Day Two: Mounted Archery - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm


  • May 19-20: Mounted Archery Beginner Clinic ($150.00 USD)
    • Day One: Ground Archery - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
    • Day Two: Mounted Archery - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm


  • June 16: Arrowhead Acres Opening Ceremony (No Charge)
    • 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
    • Event includes:
      • Food and entertainment.
      • Live mounted archery demonstrations.
      • Coffee hosted by Arrowhead Coffee Inc.
      • Fundraising Auction with items to include but not limited to:
        • Handcrafted tomahawks
        • Arrows and arrowheads
        • Jewelry
        • Warhorse Tack
        • Fine handcrafted animal hides
        • and much more! 


  • July 10-11: Youth Bow Camp($150.00 per child)
    • Camp is open to youth from ages 8 to 17 years of age.
    • Meals, equipment and horses provided and included in the enrollment fee.
      • Day 1: 9:00 am start to 10:00 pm lights out (overnight stay in cabins optional and included in enrollment fee.)
      • Day 2: 9:00 am wake up/start to 4:00 pm pick-up by parents. 


  • July 13-15:America's Warrior Project(NO CHARGE)
    • Weekend retreat for active, prior service and retired U.S. ​military service members. All expenses paid. For more information or to enroll, please contact us at contact@volcanoridgemountedarchers.org.
      • Arrowhead Acres will be closed and no practices will be held during this event. 


  • August 10-11: Unity of Archer's Shootout($400.00 USD) 
    • Participants will be responsible for their own horse penning.
    • Event will be hosted at Arrowhead Acres.
  • Services include: 
    • ​​Overnight Cabins($25.00 USD nightly)
    • Tent Camping Site(s)($15.00 USD nightly)
    • ​Horse Trailer (w/ or w/o sleeper) Parking Site ($20.00 USD nightly)
    • ​Camper ($25.00 USD nightly)
    • Equipment Rental(s) to include:
      • ​Arrows ($10.00 USD)
      • Bow(s) ($10.00 USD)
      • Quiver(s)​ ($10.00 USD)




  • August 21-22: Youth Bow Camp ($150.00 per child)
    • Camp is open to youth from ages 8 to 17 years of age.
    • Camp is supervised by members of the VRMA Board of Directors, and will be present at all times.
    • All volunteers will be background checked for safety and security of the youth participants.
    • Meals, equipment and horses provided and included in the enrollment fee.
      • Day 1: 9:00 am start to 10:00 pm lights out (overnight stay in cabins optional and included in enrollment fee.)
      • Day 2: 9:00 am wake up/start to 4:00 pm pick-up by parents. 


  • August 24-26 America's Warrior Project  (NO CHARGE)
